About the job

As a foreman carpenter, you combine skill with responsibility. You lead the team on site, look after safety and quality, and see the results of your work every day. The client is a growing construction contractor near Nijmegen that handles projects from design to completion. They work in residential and commercial construction, healthcare, education, and sports and cultural buildings.

What you'll do

• Lead your colleagues on site while doing hands-on work yourself
• Read drawings and carry out carpentry work
• Plan work and coordinate with the site manager
• Spot risks before they become problems and check quality
• Stay in contact with residents and clients
• Keep overview when conditions or schedules change
• Give advice on feasibility, planning, costs, and technical solutions

What we ask

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a carpenter or construction joiner
• A relevant qualification in carpentry, LTS/VMBO Bouw (Dutch vocational construction education), or comparable work experience
• Experience in new build and/or renovation projects
• Category B driving licence
• Knowledge of construction site safety rules
• Eye for quality, ability to work in a team, and a considerate approach to colleagues

What we offer

• Salary from €4,200 to €5,500 gross per month based on 40 hours per week
• Employment conditions under CAO Bouw & Infra (the collective labour agreement for construction and infrastructure in the Netherlands)
