Construction Carpenter
About the job
We are looking for an experienced carpenter for a project on the island of Vlieland, one of the most beautiful spots in the Netherlands. You work 36 hours a week, four days a week (Monday to Thursday). Accommodation on the island is included.
On Monday you take the ferry to Vlieland and work there with a team of experienced tradespeople on a variety of construction projects. On Thursday afternoon you return to the mainland. You work independently and deliver quality and precision in everything you do.
The client is a well-established construction company with many years of experience on the Wadden Islands. They specialise in new builds and renovations and are known for high quality standards and attention to detail. You join a close-knit team where craftsmanship and cooperation matter.
What you'll do
- Carry out a variety of carpentry work independently
- Work on construction projects on the island of Vlieland
- Maintain quality and precision in your work
- Work together with a team of experienced tradespeople
What we ask
- Proven experience as an independent carpenter
- Valid VCA VOL certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for construction workers; VOL is the full version)
- Registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK)
- Business liability insurance and a valid BTW (Dutch VAT) number
- Own transport and own tools
- Flexibility and willingness to stay on Vlieland from Monday to Thursday
- Ability to work independently, accurately and professionally
What we offer
- Hourly rate from €18.00 to €25.00
- 36 to 40 working hours across 4 days, with a long weekend from Thursday afternoon
