Grocery delivery driver

About the job

As a grocery delivery driver in Barendrecht, you work independently behind the wheel, meet customers face to face, and earn a good hourly rate. You work for a large logistics company that delivers groceries to customers' homes in Barendrecht and the surrounding area. The team atmosphere is relaxed, and the work is straightforward and hands-on.

What you'll do

• Pack and check orders at the start of the day in the warehouse
• Load the delivery van and head out on your route
• Deliver groceries independently to customers in Barendrecht and the surrounding area
• Bring orders directly to customers' doors, on time and in good condition
• Check that each delivery is correct at every stop
• Talk to customers, answer their questions, and help carry heavier bags when needed
• Keep the van clean and tidy
• Handle the administrative side of deliveries
• Return the van and tidy up equipment at the end of the day
• Work Monday to Saturday, day shifts between 08:00 and 21:00, 36 to 40 hours per week

What we ask

• At least vmbo level of education (vmbo is a Dutch pre-vocational secondary school qualification, roughly equivalent to a vocational secondary diploma)
• Category B driving licence and a safe driving style
• Experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in logistics is a plus, but not required (0 to 1 year is enough)
• Good manners and a friendly attitude toward customers
• Willingness to do physical work
• Flexibility with working hours

What we offer

• Gross hourly rate of €15.15 to €15.34, depending on experience
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a statutory annual bonus paid on top of your salary)
