Breakdown Mechanic - Pharma - 5-Shift System

About the job

As a breakdown mechanic at a major pharmaceutical company, you are responsible for fixing faults quickly across different production units in Leiden and Sassenheim. You are the first point of contact for operators and technicians. You know how to diagnose a problem and get things running again.

What you'll do

• Take in and resolve first-line breakdowns across various production units, from utility systems and laboratories to complex biotechnology systems (fermentation, purification, chromatography, filtration)
• Analyse mechanical, electrotechnical and instrumentation faults and find the root cause
• Carry out repairs and maintenance work
• Work with operators and technicians to prevent breakdowns and improve production processes
• Log faults and actions taken in the maintenance management system

What we ask

You can act fast and work well under pressure. You also meet the following requirements:

• MBO4 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, instrumentation or a related field
• Category B driving licence
• Experience as a breakdown mechanic, preferably in a pharmaceutical production environment
• Knowledge across different technical areas and able to solve faults independently
• A team player with good communication skills
• Stress-resistant and able to respond quickly

What we offer

• Gross base salary including shift allowance of €3,600 to €5,800 gross per month
• 5-shift system allowance of 28.49%
• 25 days of annual leave
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory annual bonus paid on top of your salary)
