About the job
You work on electrical installations in the metro and tram networks in and around Amsterdam. You are responsible for the power supply, high-voltage installations, and DC (direct current) traction systems.
What you'll do
- Carry out inspections, repairs, and replacements of low- and high-voltage electrical installations
- Diagnose and fix faults and technical problems
- Work on rectifier installations, traction networks, and the third rail
- Work together with other installers and external contractors
- Act as the safety responsible person (VHP, a Dutch certified role for supervising safe execution of electrical work): make sure documentation is correct and work is done safely
What we ask
- Experience with high- or low-voltage electrical installations
- Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts and standby duty
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility when working on site
Working hours
You work on a fixed schedule with day and night shifts.
- Day shift: 07:00 – 15:30
- Night shift: once every three weeks, five nights in a row, 22:00 – 06:00
- Standby duty: once every six weeks (you stay reachable outside working hours and only go out if there is an actual breakdown)
Extra allowances apply for night shifts and standby duty.
