About the job
You work on electrical installations for the tram and metro network. This includes traction rails, overhead lines, and rectifier stations. You work with high-voltage, low-voltage, and traction voltage (DC) at different locations in and around Amsterdam.
What you'll do
- Carry out inspections, repairs, and replacements of electrical installation components
- Work on high-voltage and low-voltage installations
- Troubleshoot faults and solve technical problems
- Work together with other installers and external companies
- Act as the person responsible for safety (VHP, a Dutch-certified safety role on site): keep documentation correct and make sure work is done safely
What we ask
- Experience in electrical engineering, especially with high-voltage or low-voltage installations
- Able to troubleshoot independently and work on different sites in the field
- Willing to work shifts (day and night) and be on call for emergencies
Working hours
You work on a fixed and clear schedule:
- Day shift: 07:00 to 15:30
- Night shift: once every three weeks, five nights in a row, 22:00 to 06:00
- Emergency standby: once every six weeks. You are available outside working hours and only respond if there is an actual breakdown.
You receive good allowances for night shifts and standby duties.
Salary: €2,582 to €3,729 gross per month
