City Bus Driver

About the job

This is a bus driver job in public transport near Oude Tonge. Before you work on your own, you get a full training programme. After that comes a three-week onboarding period. During those weeks you learn the different lines and routes together with a coach.

What you'll do

• Drive a bus on set public transport lines
• Welcome passengers and make sure they travel comfortably
• Keep to timetables and follow traffic rules
• Talk to passengers in everyday situations

What we ask

• Strong motivation to finish both the theory and practical parts of the training
• Code 95 (the Dutch bus driving licence category) or willingness to get it with help from the employer
• Good knowledge of Dutch and/or English
• Category B driving licence and at least 1 year of experience driving a car
• Your own transport to get to work (getting there by bus, bike or moped is usually not possible because of the location of the opdrachtgevers, the client companies)

What we offer

• Pay in line with the cao (CAO, the Dutch collective labour agreement) Beroepsgoederenvervoer, between €2,610 and €3,550 gross per month
• Extra pay for shift work and/or night work
• Shift schedule that takes your preferences into account
• Professional bus driver training through the employer's training academy
• Option to get Code 95 and other certificates, for example a forklift licence, paid for by the employer
• Support for further development and opportunities to build new skills
