Category C Driver – Vacuum Tanker

About the job

You drive a suction truck (a vacuum tanker used to clean street drains and empty sewage infrastructure) for various municipalities. Around 90% of your working time you spend behind the wheel, driving through residential areas.

What you'll do

• Drive the suction truck through neighbourhoods and service street drain routes
• Empty grease separators, inspection chambers, pumping stations and pump sumps
• Clean basements and underfloor spaces using the vacuum truck
• Record waste on a laptop and on forms in line with regulations
• Carry out daily technical checks and maintenance on the vehicle

What we ask

• Category C driving licence, Code 95, and VCA basic (VCA is a Dutch safety certificate for working in hazardous environments) and CVV-B certificates
• Working knowledge of Dutch
• Good physical condition and willingness to take part in emergency standby duties; certificates Veilig werken in Riolen and Veilig werken langs de Weg are a plus, or willingness to obtain them

Pay and conditions

• Salary from €2,730 to €3,116 gross per month
• 25 days of holiday and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a mandatory extra payment under Dutch law)
• ADV arrangement: extra days off or paid out
• Pension through PMT
