Category C Driver – Municipal Waste Collection

**About the job**

You work as a refuse truck driver and collect municipal waste in Hank and the surrounding neighbourhoods in the Altena region (near Werkendam). You work as a team with loaders and make sure the day runs safely and smoothly.

**What you'll do**

• Drive a modern refuse truck on set routes in residential areas
• Collect municipal waste according to the schedule
• Work closely with your loader colleagues every day
• Help with loading waste when needed
• Follow health and safety rules and quality standards

**What we ask**

• A valid category C driving licence (Code 95 may be expired, the employer covers the renewal cost)
• Available at least 32 hours a week, including occasional Saturdays
• Good Dutch language skills (at least B2 level)
• Physical fitness, punctuality and willingness to work outdoors
• Living in Werkendam or the nearby Altena region
• Willing to work in the Breda region as well, including Etten-Leur, Moerdijk, Drimmelen and Geertruidenberg

**Employment conditions**

• Pay: €20.81 to €23.79 gross per hour, including allowances
• Vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a standard Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary) of 8.33% and a year-end bonus of 7.55%
• 28 days of leave per year based on full-time hours
• Pension contributions from your first day
• Possibility of a permanent contract with good performance
• Travel cost reimbursement of €0.21 per km, for distances between 8 km and 30 km one way
• Free Code 95 renewal if needed
• Access to your schedule and pay slips through a mobile app
• Working hours roughly 07:30 to before 16:30, evenings free
• Occasional Saturday work on supplementary collection days
• Active work outdoors
