Crane Truck Driver (Category C licence)
About the job
As a crane truck driver you are responsible for the safe transport and delivery of materials. You operate the loader crane on projects involving street lighting and road installations. Every day you leave from the depot in your vehicle and work at different locations across the province of Friesland. The work varies: you work both independently and as part of a team, and you also support the installer on site.
Your day starts early. You load the materials needed and check that everything can be transported safely. Then you drive to the work site in Friesland, where you use the crane together with the installer to fit or replace installations. Throughout the day you keep safety in mind, stay in contact with the site manager, and make sure everything runs to plan. You meet different people every day and spend a lot of time on the road.
What you'll do
- Drive the crane truck and operate the loader crane
- Transport materials to different locations across Friesland
- Load and unload at the work site using the crane
- Support the installer during installation work
- Carry out safety checks and follow regulations
- Report problems to the site manager
- Keep a logbook and complete work documentation
What we ask
- Category C driving licence and code 95
- VCA (Veiligheid, Gezondheid en Milieu Checklist Aannemers, a Dutch safety certificate) basic certificate
- MBO (Dutch intermediate vocational) level of thinking and working
- Proven experience operating a crane or driving a truck
- Good command of Dutch
- Willingness to complete a basic electrical training course
- Ability to work independently, sense of responsibility, and customer awareness
