Forklift Operator (3 shifts)

About the job

You work as a forklift operator in a modern warehouse in Giessen. You make sure goods arrive safely and quickly in the right place. You receive and check incoming goods and register them in the system. You store products in the correct locations and keep the warehouse tidy and clean. You operate the forklift safely and follow all safety rules. You keep all documentation up to date.

You work a three-shift schedule, five days a week, Monday to Saturday. Shifts are: morning 06:00–14:45, afternoon 14:00–22:45, night 22:00–06:45.

The company is a leading player in the food industry. It specialises in processing and packing nuts, seeds and dried fruit. The workplace has an open atmosphere. People work hard, but there is also room for a laugh.

What you'll do

• Receive, check and register incoming goods
• Store products in the correct locations in the warehouse
• Operate the forklift safely during your shift
• Update warehouse information and documentation
• Work according to safety rules and keep the workplace safe
• Keep the warehouse tidy and clean

What we ask

• At least vmbo (pre-vocational secondary education) level of thinking and working
• Valid forklift operator certificate
• 1 to 2 years of experience as a forklift operator or in a similar logistics role, for example warehouse operative or reach truck operator
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Living within 30 kilometres of Giessen
• Available to work a three-shift schedule
