Production Shift Manager

About the job

As a Production Shift Manager, you make sure people, machines and the production plan work well together. You are present on the production floor, you keep an eye on results and you invest in your team.

What you'll do

• Lead, supervise and coach around 10 production staff and operators
• Assign and coordinate work during your shift
• Conduct appraisal, development and absence reviews
• Monitor safety, quality, output and efficiency
• Spot deviations, faults and problems
• Start and follow up on corrective actions
• Check production documentation and registrations
• Control correct use of raw materials and packaging materials
• Keep the production area tidy, clean and hygienic
• Work with digital systems for maintenance, production and registration
• Take part in and lead operational meetings
• Coordinate maintenance work with production and technical colleagues
• Train and develop staff
• Play an active role in improving production processes

What we ask

• Thinking and working level of MBO-4 (Dutch vocational qualification, upper secondary level)
• A technical or production background is preferred
• Experience leading people in a production environment
• Technical understanding and an interest in machines and processes
• Good computer skills
• Experience with digital reporting and registration systems
• A strong sense of responsibility
• Good communication skills
• A decisive attitude and focus on results
• Willingness to work a 5-shift rotation
• Experience with process control software is a plus, but not required
