Production Team Leader

About the job

As a Production Team Leader you are the first point of contact for operators on your shift. You coordinate the work, keep track of planning, and step in when the process requires it. At the same time you work actively on the production line, support operators during busy moments or breakdowns, and show every day what it takes to get the best result together.

What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop operators on your shift
  • Work actively on the production line to support the team
  • Deliver the production plan and meet production targets
  • Monitor and improve the production process
  • Detect and solve breakdowns, deviations, and bottlenecks
  • Make sure HACCP, GMP, and BRC guidelines are followed
  • Check raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products
  • Write and maintain production reports and documentation
  • Adjust staffing and production plans when needed
  • Start and carry out process improvements using LEAN and 5S
  • Conduct appraisal, review, and absence conversations
  • When the Production Manager is absent: share responsibility for managing the production site

What we ask

  • Thinking and working level of MBO 3 (Dutch secondary vocational education, level 3) or higher
  • A background in process technology, food technology, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in a production environment
  • Experience leading operators or production teams
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to work actively on the line
  • Knowledge of HACCP and quality standards in the food industry
  • Technical know-how and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with LEAN and 5S, or motivation to work with these methods
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and administrative systems
  • A clear, involved, and coaching leadership style
  • Available full time
