Painter / Surface Preparer

About the job

You work on the maintenance and restoration of railway vehicles in Haarlem. You work in shifts. Accuracy and quality matter here. Your experience and eye for detail make sure every part of the train meets the highest standards.

What you'll do

• prepare parts by removing rust and old paint layers
• fill, sand and paint interior and exterior train parts
• check quality and work progress according to strict protocols
• work morning and afternoon shifts, with flexibility when needed
• work together with colleagues to get the best result

What we ask

• MBO level 2 diploma in industrial painting or equivalent
• valid VCA certificate (Dutch safety certification for contractors) and ability to obtain a VOG (Dutch certificate of conduct, a background check)
• at least 1 year of experience in painting and coating work
• a proactive attitude and attention to detail
• willing to work in shifts

What we offer

• salary from €2,700 to €3,800 gross per month
• temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment
• full time, 36 hours per week
• 25 days of holiday, 8.33% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a mandatory Dutch bonus paid once a year) and €0.25 per km travel reimbursement
• annual bonus of 3% and a shift allowance depending on the department
• good pension scheme through Stichting Pensioenfonds voor Personeelsdiensten (StiPP)
