Breakdown Mechanic

About the job

No two days are the same. You keep the installations and machines in a steel production plant in top technical condition. You work in a two-shift schedule.

What you'll do

• Analyse and fix mechanical and electrotechnical faults.
• Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance.
• Optimise and modify machines and installations.
• Log completed work in the maintenance system.
• Share ideas for technical improvements that increase installation availability.

What we ask

You are not put off by technical problems and you are happy to take responsibility.

You also have

• A vocational qualification (mbo, Dutch intermediate vocational level) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, or the motivation to develop in this direction.
• Experience as a breakdown or maintenance mechanic in a production environment.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to solve problems.
• Good communication skills and a real team spirit.
• A good command of Dutch and preferably also English. German is a bonus.
• A BHV certificate (Dutch first aid and fire safety certificate) or willingness to obtain one.
