Construction and Road Machinery Mechanic

About the job

As a construction machinery mechanic, no two days are the same. One day you inspect a truck, the next you trace a fault in a machine or work on a mobile crane.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair machines
• Work on mobile cranes and other heavy equipment
• Inspect and repair trucks
• Maintain company vans
• Find and fix technical faults
• Replace and repair parts
• Check that equipment is safe and working properly after repair

What we ask

• Experience as a mechanic is required
• A technical background, for example in automotive engineering
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose and fix technical faults
• Category B driving licence (BE, T and C are a plus, but not required)
• VCA certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for working on construction sites) or willingness to get one
• Willing to work with different types of equipment
• Able to work independently, both at the base and at customer sites

What we offer

• Salary from €2,850 to €3,500 gross per month based on 40 hours per week
• Pension from day one
• Travel reimbursement: €0.23 per kilometre
