Construction Machinery and Aerial Lift Mechanic

About the job

As a mechanic, you maintain, inspect and repair aerial work platforms (boom lifts and scissor lifts) and other rental equipment. You work in a professional workshop in Haarlem, with modern tools and equipment.

What you'll do

• You carry out maintenance and repair work on various types of aerial work platforms and mobile machines
• You diagnose technical faults in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and fix them
• You inspect machines for proper function, safety and wear
• You replace damaged parts and work on hydraulic systems, drives and moving components
• You make sure equipment is in good technical condition and ready to rent out
• You do preventive maintenance and handle breakdowns and repairs when needed
• You report ideas for technical improvements and help keep equipment reliable and safe

What we ask

• A completed technical education, for example in mobile machinery or a related field
• Experience in maintaining and repairing machines, preferably aerial work platforms, forklifts, earthmoving equipment or other mobile machinery
• Knowledge of mechanical systems; knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems is a plus
• Ability to diagnose faults and find solutions on your own
• Careful, safety-conscious way of working and a focus on quality
• A hands-on attitude and a genuine interest in technical work

• Salary from €2,800 to €4,000 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience
