Maintenance Mechanic - Day Shift - Chemical Industry
## About the job
You will keep the machine park in top condition for a market leader in custom-made chemicals. This global organisation has three production sites in Europe, two of them in the Netherlands. They are urgently looking for extra support at their factory near Moerdijk. The factory produces surfactants and chemicals for the paper industry, among other products. Raw materials arrive by ship, are processed into a high-quality product, and distributed across Europe.
As a maintenance mechanic, you are responsible for carrying out mechanical work safely and in line with environmental standards. Your tasks include:
- Planning and carrying out repair and maintenance work in the factory
- Managing utilities together with the team (heat, steam, nitrogen and water)
- Recording data in the maintenance management system
- Keeping contact with suppliers and supervising subcontractors

## What we ask
You can work independently, but you are also comfortable in a team. You are precise and well organised. We also ask:
- A completed technical MBO (Dutch vocational education at intermediate level) qualification in mechanics, automation or a related field
- Proven work experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic
- Knowledge of PLCs and pumps is a plus
- Experience in the process industry is a plus

## How to apply
As a maintenance mechanic you play an important role in the organisation. Your work makes a difference. We offer:
- A gross base salary of €3,100 to €4,200 per month, depending on experience
- A 13th month payment
- Travel cost reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometre
- 25 days of holiday
- The employer covers 2/3 of pension costs
