Maintenance Mechanic

About the job

Maintenance mechanic in Tilburg. You make sure machines, installations and buildings keep running without problems. You work in the maintenance department and handle breakdowns, inspections and maintenance work on your own.

What you'll do

• Find and fix breakdowns
• Do inspection rounds and carry out preventive maintenance
• Maintain machines, installations and buildings
• Make tools or workshop aids for production
• Work on projects, including improvement projects, and set the most efficient production order
• Carry out tasks following instructions from the team leader
• Discuss requirements and needed resources with the production department
• Signal and report deviations, unsafe situations and unwanted incidents
• Supervise external specialists during maintenance and repair work
• Take part in making the maintenance organisation more professional

What we ask

• Completed technical education at MBO level (Dutch vocational secondary school)
• Proven knowledge of electrical engineering
• Experience maintaining machinery
• Experience maintaining mechanical installations (W-installaties)
• Ability to analyse processes
• Relevant education: MBO Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Knowledge of hydraulics
• Knowledge of mechatronics
• NEN 3140 certificate (Dutch safety standard for working with or near electrical installations)
• Knowledge of pneumatics
• Ability to diagnose and fix breakdowns
