Forklift Mechanic

About the job

As a forklift mechanic, you work for a logistics operator in the Rotterdam region. You work with different types of internal transport equipment and make sure everything runs and moves as it should.

What you'll do

• Carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspections on internal transport equipment and support machinery
• Diagnosing faults and performing checks
• Ordering and managing spare parts, working with suppliers
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe and tidy
• Carrying out on-site work at customer locations when needed, using a fully equipped service van

What we ask

• 3 to 5 years of experience
• MBO-level technical education (Dutch vocational qualification), preferably in mobile machinery, or a willingness to learn
• Category B and B+E driving licence required
• Experience with rolling stock (wheeled vehicles and equipment) required
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working conditions), appraiser diploma and forklift certificate, or willingness to obtain these
• Experience servicing forklifts and aerial work platforms
• Ability to work independently, flexible and reliable

• Salary from €3,000 to €4,200 gross per month, depending on experience
