Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter

About the job

As a Maintenance Mechanic on the day shift, you are responsible for planned overhauls, maintenance work, and replacing mechanical equipment at a dairy factory in Veghel. You also troubleshoot breakdowns when your knowledge and experience are needed. You work independently on a variety of mechanical installations and make sure work is done on schedule, safely, and to the required quality standards. You record your work and findings in SAP.

What you'll do

• Carry out planned mechanical and mechatronic overhauls of installations and equipment
• Disassemble, inspect, overhaul, and reassemble machine parts
• Replace mechanical equipment and components
• Analyse and fix mechanical breakdowns
• Report completed work and process it administratively in SAP

What we ask

You have experience reading and interpreting technical drawings in the field of mechanical engineering. You take your work seriously and work accurately, independently, and safely.

We also ask that you

• Have completed an mbo-3 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 3) education, for example as a Mechatronic Fitter, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• Have at least 2 years of work experience as a fitter in the process industry
• Have experience with mechanical overhaul and maintenance work
• Are a Qualified Person for Low Voltage (NEN 3140 VP, a Dutch safety certification for working with low-voltage electrical systems), or are willing to obtain this certificate
• Have experience with SAP PM, which is a plus
• Have a good command of the Dutch language

• Gross monthly salary between €3,353 and €4,177 based on 36 hours per week
• Year-end bonus of 5%
