Junior Assembly Mechanic

About the job

The client is a specialist company in the heavy industry sector, based near Ridderkerk. As a junior assembly mechanic, you work both in the workshop and at client sites. You handle repairs, maintenance, and assembly of various machines and structures. You work alongside experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.

What you'll do

• Carry out repair and maintenance work on machines and installations
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical parts and structures
• Assist with work on industrial installations
• Identify technical faults and suggest solutions
• Work from technical drawings and work instructions
• Collaborate with experienced mechanics on various projects
• Keep the workplace safe and tidy

What we ask

• A technical education or a clear interest in engineering
• Experience in repairs, assembly, or maintenance is a plus
• Willingness to learn and a committed attitude
• Technical thinking and a proactive approach to work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working on industrial sites) or willingness to obtain one
• Forklift certificate is a plus
• Category B driving licence is a plus
