Junior Infratechnology Installer (BBL)

About the job

As a junior infratechnology installer, you learn the trade mainly by doing. You work alongside experienced installers on electrical systems in public spaces. You take part in projects you can see every day, like street lighting and traffic systems. Step by step, you build your technical knowledge and work towards doing the job independently.

What you'll do

• Support experienced installers when installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
• Work on low-voltage systems such as street lighting and traffic control systems.
• Learn to use professional tools and modern measuring equipment.
• Inspect and check installations to make sure they are safe and working correctly.
• Take part in various projects out in the field.
• Learn to identify and fix technical faults, with growing independence over time.
• Develop your technical skills and gradually grow into the role of independent installer.

What we ask

• A VMBO or MBO level 1 diploma (Dutch secondary or lower vocational education).
• An interest in technology and a willingness to do physical work.
• Comfortable working outdoors, including in different weather conditions.
• Willing to work outside regular hours when needed.
• A category B driving licence, or willing to get one in the short term.
• Open to feedback and happy to work with experienced colleagues.
• Eager to learn and develop.

What we offer

• Gross salary between €2,650 and €3,100 per month.
• Fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
• Working week of 32 to 40 hours.
• 38 days off in total: 25 days holiday and 13 ADV days (ADV is a Dutch scheme that reduces working hours through extra days off).
• Fully paid BBL training (BBL is a Dutch work-based learning programme where you work four days and study one day per week) and opportunities to advance.
