Junior Process Operator

About the job

As a junior process operator, you share responsibility for operating and monitoring various production installations. You make sure the production process runs safely and on schedule. You work at a plant that produces semi-finished products for the food industry and various technical solutions. The plant employs around 100 people, but day to day you work in a fixed, small-team shift, running most of the factory together.

What you'll do

• Operate, adjust and monitor production installations
• Monitor the production process and make corrections when needed
• Identify and fix faults
• Carry out quality checks
• Verify that the production process runs safely and correctly
• Operate a forklift when needed to support colleagues

You work an average of 33.6 hours per week in a 5-shift rotation. Shifts start at 06:00, 14:00 and 22:00.

What we ask

• Preferably HAVO (Dutch secondary education) level, with physics and mathematics
• Experience in process industry is a plus
• Willingness to obtain VAPRO (Dutch process industry qualification) diplomas at no cost to you
• Available for a 5-shift rotation with an average of 33.6 hours per week
• Living near Gorinchem, Leerdam, Geldermalsen or Sliedrecht

What we offer

• Gross salary of €2,900 to €3,200 per month, excluding shift allowance
• Shift allowance of 28% on top of the base salary
• 25 vacation days and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus paid once a year)
• 13th month salary and a profit-sharing scheme
