About the job

As a 1e Monteur Werktuigbouwkunde (senior mechanical installation fitter), you work on technical installations in buildings like hospitals, universities and courthouses. Every day, quality, safety and solid workmanship matter.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain and upgrade mechanical installations (werktuigbouwkundige installaties)
• Work on climate systems, air handling units, heat pumps and cooling units
• Fit and lay pipe systems in metal, plastic and copper
• Work in existing and occupied buildings with care for your surroundings
• Work independently and take full responsibility for the quality of your work
• Work closely with the Chef-Monteur (lead fitter), colleagues and project managers
• Spot technical faults and suggest practical solutions
• Keep up with new techniques and developments in mechanical installation
• Make sure installations are completed safely, neatly and as agreed
• Act as the main point of contact on site

What we ask

• Completed vocational training (MBO level 3) in Werktuigbouwkunde or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a 1e Monteur in commercial construction (utiliteit)
• Valid VCA-Basis certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for construction and technical work)
• Valid driving licence category B
• Good technical understanding and a practical approach to work
• Experience with mechanical installations in buildings
• A desire to keep developing professionally
• Ability to work independently and communicate well
• Attention to safety, quality and careful execution
