Cable Fitter

About the job

You work as a cable fitter on the construction, upgrading and maintenance of underground low- and medium-voltage power networks. You work alone or in a team on various projects in the Brabant and Gelderland regions.

What you'll do

• You prepare the worksite: you assess the area, mark out trench routes and check the existing underground infrastructure.
• You carry out earthworks together with a machine operator or groundworker.
• You lay and install cables and connections according to drawings and regulations, from small connections to large network expansions.
• You test and commission installations after completion, in line with current standards.
• You carry out inspections, maintenance and fault repairs on existing low- and medium-voltage networks.

What we ask

• Experience in electrical engineering or installation work.
• You hold or are willing to obtain: BEI authorisation (VOP, VP or AVP) and a VCA certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certificate required for working on construction and technical sites).
• Category B driving licence, BE preferred.
