General maintenance technician

About the job

Do you have a natural feel for technology and get energy from fixing breakdowns and improving installations? As a general maintenance technician you make sure the production environment runs well. You work on demanding technical installations and, together with your colleagues, you are responsible for safe, reliable and efficient production.

You handle preventive and corrective maintenance, analyse breakdowns and actively look for improvements. You also work with external fitters and coordinate them when needed. Thanks to your technical knowledge and solution-focused approach, the factory keeps running without unplanned stops.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on technical installations
• Fix breakdowns and investigate the root cause of technical problems
• Perform overhauls and improvements to machines and installations
• Supervise and coordinate external fitters and technical partners
• Record completed work and keep technical documentation in SAP PM

You work closely with maintenance engineers, the production department and fellow technicians. Together you keep the installations safe, reliable and ready for the future.

What we ask

We are looking for an experienced technician who is happy to take responsibility and can work independently. You are curious about technology, think in solutions and care about the quality of your work. You have a solid technical foundation and an interest in modern production processes.

• Completed MBO (Dutch vocational) qualification in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field
• Experience as a fitter in a technical production environment (experience in food or dairy is a plus)
• Knowledge of automation and control technology is an advantage
• Willingness to take part in an on-call rota (consignatie)
