Assembly Technician

About the job

Our client is a company in the maritime industry in Dordrecht. We are looking for an assembly technician to assemble unique side thrusters. You are responsible for the complete assembly of thrusters from start to finish, working from technical drawings.

What you'll do

• Read technical drawings and work instructions independently on a computer
• Assemble and adjust individual gears and gearboxes
• Adjust various bearing systems
• Fit different types of seals
• Build hydraulic system components such as pumps, valves, and pipes
• Work both independently and in a team within rotating work cells

What we ask

• Completed vocational education (MBO level 3 or 4, Dutch secondary vocational qualification) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Experience with gears and bearings is a plus; candidates willing to learn are also welcome
• VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for working conditions) is a plus and can be obtained through the client
• Driving licence
• You work carefully and patiently
• Junior candidates without full experience are also welcome to apply

What we offer

• Salary from €2,900 to €3,800 gross per month, depending on experience
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre
• Overtime paid according to the CAO Metalektro (collective labour agreement for the metalworking sector)
• Extra time-off days (ATV) on top of regular holiday entitlement
• Pension fund membership from day one
• Possibility of a permanent contract based on good performance
