Machine Assembly Technician

About the job

You work on the assembly of custom-built machines. You put together mechanical parts and modules with precision and check them to make sure the finished product works properly. The client (opdrachtgever, the company you work for through the staffing agency) is based in Leeuwarden and designs, produces and assembles machines built to customer specifications. You work in a modern production hall with a technical team. Knowledge sharing is normal here, and you often follow a machine through the entire build process.

What you'll do

• Assemble mechanical parts and machine components according to technical drawings
• Put together modules, structures and complete machines, and check the work
• Install and test hydraulic and pneumatic components, depending on your experience
• Check dimensions, connections and alignment to keep quality on track
• Spot and fix technical problems during assembly
• Work with colleagues to deliver a high-quality end product
• Take part in improving assembly processes

What we ask

• A vocational qualification (MBO) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
• Experience with mechanical assembly or assembly work
• Ability to read technical drawings, or willingness to learn
• Knowledge of mechanics and a basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• You work accurately, keep safety in mind and think in practical solutions

What we offer

• Salary from €2,549.73 gross per month
• Temporary contract with the prospect of permanent employment
• 38 to 40 hours per week
• 25 days of leave and 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a statutory annual bonus on top of your salary)
