The company has expertise across several markets and has been producing a wide range of food products for decades. Think soups, yoghurts and snacks that you find in supermarkets around the world.

As a mechanical maintenance technician (WTB, werktuigbouwkundig technician), you make sure the complex production installations in Koog aan de Zaan are in top condition. You carry out maintenance and fix breakdowns so production keeps running smoothly. That means you repair and inspect centrifuges, dryers and separators. You work in a varied environment at a typical local plant where safety always comes first.

What you'll do

  • Carry out maintenance and fix breakdowns
  • Find and apply the most reliable and cost-effective solutions
  • Align installations and check for irregularities
  • Supervise external parties
  • Enter data into SAP
  • Carry out inspection rounds

What we ask

The technician we are looking for is a team player and very precise. We also ask:

  • At least a vocational diploma (mbo-3, Dutch intermediate vocational education, level 3) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role as a mechanic or mechanical maintenance technician in the process industry
  • You work independently by nature but can also work well in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • VCA certificate (Dutch safety certification for working in industrial environments), or willingness to obtain one

What we offer

As a mechanical maintenance technician, you get a lot of freedom and responsibility and you join a professional and friendly team. We also offer:

  • Gross base salary of €3,500 to €4,800 per month (based on 36 hours per week)
  • A one-year contract straight away, with the intention to make it permanent
  • 8% vakantiegeld (Dutch statutory holiday allowance, paid on top of your salary)
  • 51 days off per year
  • Travel cost reimbursement of €0.21 per kilometre, up to 25 km one way
  • Annual bonus and savings plan
  • Fixed training budget of €750 per year
