About the job
This job is very varied. You work on conveyor belts, cranes, engines and large loaders. On a big industrial site you are part of a team of 5 mechanics and together you handle all technical maintenance. Some days you work in the office, other days you work on wheeled vehicles, cranes or conveyor belts. Everything here is large, even larger and solidly industrial. About 80% of your work is outside. No two days are the same.
What you'll do
- Fault finding and carrying out mechanical repairs on all machinery
- Creating and keeping maintenance schedules
- Taking an active role in improving the maintenance process
- Supervising external contractors

What we ask
You are strong technically and communicate well, both in speech and in writing. You also have:
- An MBO (Dutch vocational college) diploma in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- A VCA certificate (VCA is a Dutch health and safety certificate for industrial workplaces)
You work a 2-shift schedule (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00). Every 4 or 5 weeks you are also on call (consignatiedienst, a standby duty rota).
What we offer
- Gross base salary including allowances: €3,500 to €4,800 gross per month
- 2-shift allowance of 15%
- ADV (reduced working hours) payout allowance of 4.033%
- Working conditions allowance of €75
- ADV allowance
- On-call allowance of €273
- One-year contract with the intention of permanent employment
- Travel cost reimbursement of €0.21 per kilometre (minimum 10 km, maximum 40 km)
- Vakantiegeld (holiday pay, a statutory Dutch bonus paid on top of your salary) of 8.33%
- 25 days holiday (after confirmation: 27 days holiday and 14 ADV days)
