Production Fitter / Maintenance Mechanic

The client is a leading producer of high-quality meals in Lelystad. We are looking for an experienced fitter to work in a modern production environment where quality and efficiency come first.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Find and fix technical faults
• Support the installation of new machines and systems
• Improve production processes together with your colleagues
• Work according to the applicable safety and quality standards
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and changes made
• For simpler faults, machine operators handle first-line repairs themselves. For more complex problems, you step in to find the cause and solve it

What we ask

• Completed MBO (Dutch secondary vocational education) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a production environment
• Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• A proactive attitude and a solution-focused way of thinking
• Good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

• A good salary depending on knowledge and experience: €3,000–€4,000 per 4 weeks

In time, the role moves to a two-shift schedule in line with the CAO (Dutch collective labour agreement), plus participation in an on-call technical standby service (consignatiedienst, meaning you are reachable outside working hours for urgent breakdowns), with a corresponding allowance
