Steel Construction Maintenance Fitter

## About the job

This job is about assembling and overhauling heavy steel structures and industrial installations. You work both in the workshop and at customer sites. The client is a specialist construction company that carries out projects for large industrial customers, including Tata Steel. The work includes overhauling blast furnace doors and other large structures.

## What you'll do

• Overhaul steel structures, machine parts and industrial installations
• Assemble and disassemble components
• Carry out maintenance work on structures and installations
• Find and fix technical faults
• Work from technical drawings and work instructions
• Work together with colleagues in the workshop and on site
• Keep the workplace safe and tidy

## What we ask

• A technical qualification or documented technical experience is a plus
• Experience in assembly, overhaul or maintenance work is a plus
• A practical, hands-on approach to the work
• Able to work independently and stay motivated
• VCA Basis certificate (a Dutch safety certificate for working on industrial sites) or willingness to obtain it
• Forklift certificate is a plus
• Category B driving licence is a plus

• Salary from €2,700 to €3,300 gross per month based on a 40-hour week, depending on experience
