Underground Pipeline Fitter – Gas, Water and District Heating

About the job

You work on building and maintaining underground gas, water and district heating networks in the Drenthe region. Your work gives residents access to energy and clean drinking water.

What you'll do

• Locate cables and pipes using (digital) technical drawings
• Lay gas, water and district heating pipelines, including digging trenches, backfilling and compacting the ground
• Independently survey pipeline routes and fit pipe sections and connectors
• Weld and solder PE pipes, and test and commission pipeline systems
• Fix faults, carry out network maintenance and record work in reports

What we ask

• Several years of experience as an underground pipeline fitter
• VIAG, KIAD and/or VeWa certificates and an (A)VP and/or VPA certificate (or willingness to obtain these)
• A valid category B driving licence and a valid VCA certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for working conditions)

Terms of employment

• Salary from €3,250 to €3,750 gross per month, in line with the CAO (CAO is a Dutch collective labour agreement that sets pay and working conditions), depending on experience and age
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre, or use of a company car
