Field Assembler
As a field assembler, you are there when installations built in the workshop come to life at the customer's site. You work on large custom-made structures and exhaust and emission systems for customers in the industrial, public utility, and energy sectors. Every project is different in terms of dimensions, construction, and working conditions.
**What you'll do**
- Assembling and installing industrial equipment and structures
- Building structures in steel and stainless steel
- Fitting flanges and pipeline components
- Aligning and fitting parts
- Welding using MIG/MAG
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Building and finishing structures on the customer's site
- Checking that the assembly matches the drawings and dimensions
- Finding solutions on the spot when the situation differs from the plan
This is not a job where you tighten a bolt and move on. On site, you need to think technically, understand drawings, and make sure together with your colleagues that the installation is handed over correctly and safely. You usually work with a colleague, but depending on the job you may also work on your own.
The base location is Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, but most of the work takes place at customer sites. Most projects are in the Netherlands, sometimes one comes up abroad. You work on installations that control exhaust gases, pollutants, heat, odour, and noise emissions in industrial processes. The scope is broad: from flue gas ducts and chimneys to complete installations for, for example, power plants.
**What we ask**
- Experience in industrial assembly or working with steel structures
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding
- Ability to solve technical problems on site independently
**What we offer**
- Salary matching your experience and qualifications
- Travel time to projects is paid
