Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (WTB)

**About the job**

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer WTB (all-round maintenance mechanic), you make sure the mechanical installations in a complex production environment run safely and reliably. You work the day shift and take part in on-call standby duties within your team.

**What you'll do**

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical installations
• Handle first-line troubleshooting, mechanical and partly electrical and instrumentation work during standby shifts
• Manage and maintain utilities such as steam, heat, nitrogen and water
• Log completed work in the Maintenance Management System
• Take part in optimisation and investment projects for new installations

**What we ask**

We are looking for an independent mechanic who thinks in processes and always puts safety and quality first. You are comfortable in an industrial environment where technology meets chemistry.

• MBO-4 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or mechanical technician
• Experience in the process or chemical industry is a plus
• Knowledge of PLC systems and/or pumps is a plus
• Good command of the Dutch language

• Salary from €4,000 to €4,900 gross per month (40 hours)
• 25 vacation days plus 3 ADV days (ADV is a Dutch scheme for reducing working hours, similar to time off in lieu)
• 13th month payment

• Net reimbursement of healthcare costs: €350 per year
• Flexible working hours between 07:00 and 18:00, on-call standby scheme, extra days off for older employees (from age 35), extra vacation days for zero sick leave, work clothing and safety footwear
