Wood Processing Machine Operator

About the job

As a wood processing machine operator, you make sure different machines run properly. You set up machines, monitor the production process, and check that the finished product meets size and quality requirements. You work with machines such as a four-sided planer, crosscut saw, band saw, and milling table. Don't know all these machines yet? No problem. You'll learn them step by step. If you want to grow technically, you can build up knowledge of machines, settings, and programming, and work more independently over time.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate various wood processing machines
• Change and precisely adjust cutting tools
• Monitor the production process
• Check product dimensions and quality
• Complete production orders according to plan
• Detect faults and deviations

What we ask

• Interest in technology and a desire to understand how things work
• Technical thinking and interest in wood processing
• Availability for 32 to 40 hours per week
• Willingness to expand your knowledge, for example in machine setup and programming

• Gross hourly rate from €16.12 to €18.84
• 12 ATV days (extra days off as part of the Dutch CAO, collective labour agreement)
