Production Machine Operator

About the job

As an operator, you do more than just run a machine. You oversee the production process, check that products meet quality requirements, and make sure any issues are dealt with on time. You work at an international packaging manufacturer in Harlingen, where modern printing machines are used to print packaging materials. You learn how to set up the machines for different orders and get the best results. You do not need previous experience with printing machines. What counts is your experience as an operator and your technical background.

What you'll do

• Prepare and set up machines for new production orders
• Operate printing machines and monitor the stability of the production process
• Check print quality, colours, and product specifications
• Adjust machine settings when quality issues come up
• Change materials and inks between orders
• Fix minor technical faults on your own
• Record production data and quality checks
• Suggest improvements to the production process

What we ask

• At least 2 years of experience as an operator or machine operator
• MBO-4 (Dutch vocational qualification, level 4) education or equivalent thinking level, preferably in a technical or process technology field
• Technical understanding and an interest in modern production technology
• Accurate way of working and attention to safe practice
• Willing to work in a 5-shift rotation
• Ability to distinguish colours correctly
• Own transport to get to Harlingen

• Gross salary between €3,175 and €3,500 per month
• Average of 31.5 hours per week in a 5-shift rotation
