Water Treatment Plant Operator

About the job

The client processes waste streams into useful raw materials and energy. As a water treatment plant operator, you work in a technical setting where your work has a real impact on processes that matter to society. This is a daytime position with no shift work.

What you'll do

• Operate, monitor and optimise water treatment installations
• Carry out inspection rounds and assess the technical condition of installations
• Monitor process parameters and report deviations
• Take samples and carry out quality checks
• Analyse and resolve minor process disruptions
• Perform first-level maintenance and small technical tasks
• Record process data and report irregularities
• Contribute ideas for process improvements

What we ask

• Completed technical education at MBO level, for example Operator A/B, VAPRO (Dutch process technology qualification), Process Technology or equivalent
• Experience as an operator in a production environment
• Technical knowledge and interest in process installations
• Accurate and safe way of working
• Able to identify and solve problems independently
• Good communication skills and a practical approach
• Experience in water treatment, waste processing or biological processes is a plus
• Candidates with operator experience in chemicals, food, energy, paper or another process environment are also welcome
