About the job
As a 3-shift operator, you work mainly in the day shift and operate machines that produce preparations based on fungi, nematodes, or macro-organisms. These organisms, both microscopic (such as fungi) and larger (such as flies or bumblebees), are used worldwide for biological pollination or pest control. Growing and storing these organisms requires a lot of precision.
What you'll do
- You operate machines for the production of micro- or macro-organisms and monitor the entire production process continuously
- You check production progress and adjust machine settings within set limits when needed
- You work together with other operators and help create and implement procedures, and you suggest improvements to processes
- You check the condition of machines and plan maintenance in consultation with technical staff
- You normally work in the day shift, but during peak production periods you may work in shifted shifts (between 06:00 and 22:00)
- Once every 4 to 5 weeks you are on call for a week, for which you receive all necessary resources, including a car to get to work quickly in case of a breakdown
What we ask
- At least 3 years of documented experience as a process operator
- VAPRO B certificate (a Dutch qualification for process operators)
- Knowledge of fermentation processes is a plus
- Experience in planning and organising tasks
What we offer
- Salary from €2,800 to €3,700 gross per month, depending on experience and knowledge, excluding shift allowance
- On-call allowance (consignatievergoeding)
- Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre (up to a maximum of 30 km one way)
