Production Operator (5-shift)

About the job

As an all-round operator in Amsterdam, you are responsible for the smooth and safe running of the production process in the mill. You work with various installations and make sure raw materials are processed to the right specifications. With your technical knowledge, you spot deviations in time and prevent unnecessary downtime.

What you'll do

• You start machines and installations following the correct procedures, including the classifier, extruder and sieve.
• You monitor the production plan and keep the process running efficiently.
• You spot disruptions and bottlenecks and contact the right colleagues in time.
• You make sure products go to the correct silos.
• You check machines and make adjustments to reach the required product quality.
• You take samples and carry out quality checks to monitor the production process.
• You record breakdowns and incidents accurately in the system.
• You keep equipment and your work area clean, safe and tidy.

You work in a place where history meets modern process technology. This is not a standard production hall. It is a unique workplace inside a former wartime bunker.

What we ask

• MBO-level education (Dutch vocational qualification, roughly equivalent to a trade or technical diploma) and at least three years of relevant work experience.
• A completed operator course.
• Experience with laboratory work and quality control.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and the ability to monitor production processes.
• A valid VCA certificate (VCA is a Dutch safety certification for working in industrial environments).
• Willingness to work a 5-shift schedule.
• Accuracy, solution-focused thinking and high safety standards.
