Warehouse Worker

About the job

You work in the warehouse of a large online wholesaler in Ede. The company supplies food products to hotels, restaurants and care facilities. Your work is picking orders in a cold environment (2-7 degrees Celsius).

What you'll do

• Pick orders using a voice picking system and place products in crates on a roll cage
• After picking, move the crates from the roll cage to the loading area in the warehouse
• Work in the right protective clothing (jacket, gloves) provided by the employer
• Get trained on the job with support from a team coordinator, with regular check-ins with your supervisor about your progress

What we ask

• Good command of Dutch
• Available at least 4 working days per week
• At least 18 years old and living within 20 km of Ede (for example Barneveld, Lunteren, Veenendaal, Wageningen)

Employment conditions

• Gross hourly rate from €15.57 (includes a supplement for working in a cold environment)
• 25% supplement for hours between 19:00 and 22:00, 50% after 22:00, 50% or 75% on Saturdays and 100% on Sundays (weekend work is voluntary)
• After a positive review at 3 weeks your rate goes up, with another increase possible within a few months
• Pension from your first working day, vakantiegeld (holiday pay, 8% of your gross annual wage) and 25 days of holiday per year
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per km for distances over 10 km one way
• Employment with the aim of a permanent contract
• Free forklift training and opportunities to grow, for example to forklift operator or team leader

Working hours

• Monday to Friday: morning shift 06:00-14:30 or evening shift 14:30-23:00
• Saturday: 06:00-14:30, Sunday: 14:30-23:00 (weekends are voluntary)
