About the job
A postal warehouse worker plays an important role in loading and unloading goods and working closely with the team. The job is full-time and shift-based, located in Schiphol-Rijk.
What you'll do
- Receiving and processing postal shipments
- Sorting mail bags and parcels
- Doing light administrative tasks
- Assembling and disassembling ULDs (Unit Load Devices, containers used in air cargo)
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Transport on the airport grounds
- Working in a three-shift system:
Morning shift: 07:00 – 15:30
Afternoon shift: 15:00 – 23:30
Night shift: 23:00 – 07:00
What we ask
- Experience in logistics (helpful but not required)
- Willingness to complete internal training courses
- Good command of Dutch and/or English
- Ability to do physical work
- Ability to obtain a VGB (Verklaring omtrent het Gedrag Burgers, a background clearance certificate required for Schiphol), which means you must have been registered in the EU for at least 8 years (the employer applies for the VGB on your behalf)
What we offer
- Salary of €16.70 to €16.99 gross per hour, depending on experience (including a 2.5% annual bonus)
- Shift allowances for evening, night and weekend work of 125% to 140%
- Holiday allowance (vakantiegeld, a legally required extra payment) of 200%
- Weekly pay with 8.33% holiday pay included
- 25 days of annual leave plus 7 paid days off per year
- Pension accrual and travel cost reimbursement (up to €11.50)
