Production worker

About the job

As a production worker, you work in a technical environment. You shape steel sheets into parts for the client's products. This is hands-on craft work. You learn everything on the job, together with a team of three experienced colleagues who will train you. You make sure the production process runs smoothly and that parts meet the required specifications. Working accurately and keeping an eye on quality and order is important.

What you'll do

• Forming: process and shape steel sheets according to technical specifications
• Inspection: carry out quality checks to make sure parts meet requirements
• Preparation: set up machines and prepare materials for production
• Cleaning: keep the workplace clean and tidy, also when the pace is high
• Teamwork: discuss planning, improvements and any issues with your colleagues

What we ask

• Thinking and working level of MBO 3 (Dutch vocational education, intermediate level), preferably in a technical direction
• Experience in a technical work environment, for example as an operator
• Good command of Dutch
• Good physical condition and used to standing work and lifting
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job

What we offer

• Salary from €2,827 to €2,914 gross per month, depending on education and experience, based on full-time hours
• Fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment
• Full-time 38-40 hours per week, with predictable hours in the day shift
• 40 days off per year based on full-time hours
• Opportunities to develop through training and courses to build your technical skills
• Good pension scheme and additional employment conditions in line with the Metalelektro CAO (collective labour agreement for the metal and electrical engineering sector)
• Employment conditions equal to those of colleagues employed directly by the client, meaning that in addition to the hourly rate, your package includes the same number of days off, allowances, ADV pay (a Dutch system where extra hours are compensated with paid time off) and other pay components
