Steel Structure Renovation and Maintenance Worker

About the job

As a renovation worker, you work on restoring, maintaining and preserving different types of engineering structures. Think of bridges, quaysides, locks and other special constructions. You work at different project locations and together with your colleagues you help keep existing structures in good condition.

What you'll do

• Carry out renovation and maintenance work on concrete, steel and hydraulic structures
• Repair damaged parts and structural components
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting and treating them
• Work with various hand tools and machines
• Work together with specialists to complete projects safely and effectively
• Follow the applicable safety and quality guidelines

What we ask

• An interest in construction, technology or engineering work
• Willing to work both independently and in a team
• You pay attention to safety and quality in everything you do
• A VCA certificate (Dutch safety certificate for construction and technical work) is a plus, or you are willing to get one
