Automotive Glass Technician

About the job

You work as an automotive glass technician. You repair damage, replace windscreens and other glass, and make sure customers stay safe on the road. You work on location or in a workshop, hands-on with tools.

What you'll do

• Inspect and assess damage to car windows and windscreens
• Repair chips and replace glass in vehicles
• Explain the work to customers in clear terms
• Fit temporary protection when the replacement glass is not immediately available
• Calibrate cameras and driver assistance systems, and complete job documentation

What we ask

• Category B driving licence and ability to drive a manual gearbox
• Good hand skills, attention to detail, and a technical mindset
• Willingness to work one Saturday per month at most, and living near 's-Hertogenbosch or Tilburg

What we offer

• Gross salary from €2,800 to €3,500 per month
• 25 holiday days per year plus 5 ATV days (extra time-off days set by Dutch CAO, collective labour agreement) paid out in cash
• 8% vakantiegeld (holiday allowance, a standard Dutch payment on top of your salary)
• Full in-house training to become an independent technician
• €100 gross per month extra after completing the training
• Opportunity to grow, for example to senior technician
• Travel costs reimbursed at €0.23 per kilometre
