Catering Equipment Technician

About the job

You maintain and repair professional kitchen equipment in care homes and nursing facilities across the three northern provinces of the Netherlands. You work independently and make sure the equipment is always running properly. You solve technical problems day to day and advise clients, using your technical knowledge and a practical, service-minded approach.

What you'll do

• Carry out maintenance: keep catering equipment in good working order through preventive inspections and corrective repairs.
• Troubleshoot faults: respond to technical problems quickly and fix them effectively.
• Support installations: help install new kitchen equipment.
• Work with clients: serve clients in a professional way and advise them on how to use and maintain the equipment.
• Cover emergency call-outs: be available during agreed on-call shifts.

What we ask

• MBO level 3 diploma (Dutch vocational qualification) in electrical engineering.
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting.
• VCA (Dutch safety certificate) and NEN 3140 certification, or willingness to obtain them.
• Good communication skills and a service-minded attitude.
• Category B driving licence (you travel to clients in the region).

• Salary from €2,500 to €3,800 gross per month.
