Machine Service Engineer – Food Industry

About the job

As a machine service engineer, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of vacuum filling systems and grinding machines in the food industry. You work on-site at customer locations across the Netherlands. The work combines heavy mechanical tasks with diagnostics and software settings.

What you'll do

• Install and commission vacuum filling systems and grinding machines
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrotechnical and software faults
• Perform heavy mechanical work, including working with large wrenches, flanges, drives and grinding components
• Work with machine control systems and HMI software for diagnostics and settings
• Test and sign off machines after maintenance or repair
• Report completed work and communicate with customers

What we ask

• MBO-level technical education (MBO is the Dutch vocational qualification at secondary level) in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrotechnics or a related field
• Experience as a service engineer, machine assembler or in technical in-plant service
• Proven experience with heavy mechanical work, including large wrenches and heavy machine components
• Knowledge of software and control systems for machine diagnostics and settings
• Ability to read technical drawings, diagrams and documentation
• Category B driving licence and willingness to travel across the Netherlands
