Automotive Field Service Technician

About the job

Instead of a fixed spot in a workshop, you work from a service van. You visit car workshops in the Utrecht, Amersfoort and Barneveld area. Some days you do inspections, other days diagnostics and repairs. You work on your own, but colleagues with technical knowledge are always available if you need support.

What you'll do

• Diagnosing and fixing faults: you find where the problem is in the system and apply the right solution.
• Carrying out inspections: you check equipment, replace parts where needed and prevent technical problems.
• Installing new equipment: you help workshops set up new systems and make sure everything works correctly.
• Technical checks: you carry out checks and technical inspections so that equipment runs reliably and accurately.
• Customer contact: you explain what you did and give advice on how to use the systems correctly.

What we ask

• Experience as a car mechanic, first-level technician, diagnostics technician or in a similar technical role.
• A technical background or proven technical knowledge, for example in automotive, mechatronics or electrical engineering.
• Comfortable working independently and visiting different locations.
• Open to contact with customers, not just working with technology.
• Willing to learn new things and keep developing.
• No experience with APK (Dutch vehicle roadworthiness inspection) equipment is not a problem. A solid technical base and motivation to learn matter more.

• Gross salary from €3,200 to €4,000 per month, depending on knowledge and experience.
