Structural Fitter / Steel Construction Assembler

About the job

This is a job as a structural fitter and assembler at a metal construction production facility in Rijssen. The company designs, produces and assembles structures in steel, stainless steel and aluminium. They produce around 300,000 tonnes of steel per year for various industries, including energy and process industry.

What you'll do

• Read technical drawings and check that all materials are available
• Assemble steel structures according to the drawing
• Make tack welds and prepare joints for further welding
• Weld using MIG/MAG, joining individual parts into a solid whole, keeping weld quality and finish in line with quality standards
• Carry out maintenance and repair work on existing steel structures at project sites
• Follow health, safety and environmental rules
• Use personal protective equipment correctly, report unsafe situations and keep your work area tidy

What we ask

• MBO-level education (Dutch vocational secondary education), preferably in metalworking or a related technical field
• Experience as a welder or assembler
• Knowledge of welding, dimensioning and steel construction
• VCA Basic certificate (Dutch safety certificate for contractors) or willingness to obtain it
• TCVT certificate (lifting equipment operator certificate) or willingness to obtain it

• Salary between €3,100 and €4,100 gross per month, depending on experience and education, based on 39 hours per week
